The Team Behind Your Roof, Siding, and Storm Repairs in Northeast Ohio

A Local Team With National Backing and a Guarantee You Can Count by the Nail

When a roof leaks, siding gives out, or a storm comes off Lake Erie and leaves damage behind, homeowners, property managers, and business owners across Northeast Ohio call us. CR3 American Exteriors is a roofing company in Cleveland that handles roofing, siding, windows, gutters, storm damage, and commercial roofing and siding.

Our founder, Carnie Fryfogle III, started CR3 in 2017, and since then we've served more than 6,000 customers with the same approach: inspect carefully, explain clearly, and finish the job the way we said we would.

How Did CR3 Get Its Start?

CR3 was founded in 2017 by Carnie Fryfogle III, a fourth-generation contractor who grew up around the trades. He saw how often property owners were left guessing about what their contractor was doing and why. He built CR3 around a simple idea: the contractor should act as the customer's advocate, explaining every option and communicating at every step.

From that start, CR3 grew into a full exterior company covering roofing, siding, windows, doors, and gutters for both homes and commercial properties. Today, our consultants bring more than 100 years of combined experience to every evaluation.

What Does Locally Owned and Nationally Backed Mean for Your Project?

It means the people who evaluate your property are local, while the company behind them has the resources of a larger organization. Our team is based here, so the people who inspect your roof and manage your project are the same people you can reach years later if you have a question.

What Credentials Does Our Roofing Contractor Team Bring?

As a roofing contractor, we're judged by the work and by the standards behind it. CR3 has been recognized as a Top 10 producer for major shingle manufacturers, and we've appeared on both the Top 100 Roofing List and the Inc. 5000 list.

Our manufacturer-backed warranties include up to 25 years of workmanship coverage, and your consultant will explain exactly what applies to your project.

How Does the Dollar Back Nail Guarantee® Work?

Every project ends with a magnetic nail sweep of the property. If you find a nail we left behind after project closeout, we'll pay you a dollar for it. Loose nails in a driveway or lawn can puncture tires and injure people and pets, so we take cleanup as seriously as installation.

How Does a CR3 Project Run From Start to Finish?

Every project follows our six-step process:

  1. Contact: We connect you with a consultant and confirm your appointment.
  2. Evaluation: We inspect the roof, siding, windows, and drainage, and photograph what we find.
  3. Proposal: You get written options with pricing, and we answer your questions before you decide. Financing is available for qualified customers.
  4. Preparation: We schedule the work, coordinate material delivery, and protect landscaping, driveways, and other areas around the property.
  5. Installation: Our crews complete the work following manufacturer specifications.
  6. Walkthrough: We clean up, sweep for fasteners, walk the property with you, and provide copies of your project records.

Our insurance restoration professionals document the damage and help you through the insurance process.

Who Do We Work With as an Exterior Contractor?

As an exterior contractor, we work with nearly every kind of property owner:

  • Residential: owners of single-family homes and townhomes
  • Associations: multifamily communities, condominium associations, and homeowners associations
  • Commercial: retail centers, office buildings, industrial facilities, churches, educational facilities, and property management companies
  • Builders and developers: new construction and renovation projects

Why Do Northeast Ohio Properties Need a Siding Contractor Who Knows the Weather?

A siding contractor here has to plan for freeze-thaw cycles, wind off the lake, heavy snow, and summer storms. Water that gets into small cracks freezes and expands every winter. Strong winds loosen panels, and storms can crack or dent siding and send water behind the wall.

The National Weather Service Cleveland office tracks the lake-effect snow and severe storms that put Northeast Ohio exteriors through so much. We inspect siding with those conditions in mind and recommend repairs or replacement based on what's happening behind the panels, not just on the surface.
