What is TPO Roofing?

One of the roofing materials we offer is TPO. TPO stands for Thermoplastic Polyolefin. This is made of ethylene propylene rubber as well as other synthetic fillers. TPO only requires one coat, making it easy to apply. It is a white membrane, and this is especially helpful because it does not absorb heat. Instead, it reflects it, promoting cooler temperatures in buildings, and making it more energy efficient. This, in turn, saves money by avoiding high energy costs. In addition, TPO is very useful in keeping dirt and grime from building up on your roof. In addition, mold, algae, and mildew will have a very tough time growing on a TPO roof. This means that you will not have to worry about constantly cleaning your roof to keep it in the best shape. This material is also resistant to cracks and corrosion, making it able to withstand heavy weather.

A TPO roof can last up to twenty years with proper care. This material is most popular among commercial roofs, and flat roofs in general.

TPO roofing is incredibly cost effective. Since it is easy to install, there is less labor required, saving on labor costs. Being less of an investment than other flat roof options, TPO can save you money while still holding up well and properly protecting the building beneath it.

Since TPO is cost effective, energy efficient, resistant to dirt and other build up, and can last you up to twenty years, it should be obvious why it is such a great choice for roofing!
