What kind of changes are we talking about? Prices.
This is not just happening with some companies, but with the majority that we know of. Due to shortages during the pandemic, prices of lumber and roofing supplies have been slowly, but consistently, climbing.
We see this change in prices happening all over the country, and the problem is, even if roofing companies wanted to offer lower prices, they probably aren’t able to because of what they are spending to get their materials. Plus, many companies also raised their prices for labor during the pandemic since it wasn’t as safe to go out for jobs. With all of this taken into consideration, many companies raised their prices by at least eight to ten percent. This is not only frustrating to customers, but to the very people offering the services themselves.
Nobody wants to have to raise their prices, but to stay in business during the pandemic, unfortunately, many companies have had to. Since so many places were shut down during the pandemic, many distributors have not been able to put out materials as fast as before. This led to more and more shortages, and higher and higher prices.
So, what does this mean for people who are looking to get some updates done to their houses? We highly recommend getting this done sooner rather than later.
We are now in Spring, and with the gorgeous weather, it is the perfect time to have adjustments made to your house. Knowing how the prices of roofing supplies are slowly climbing, we recommend having work done while they are still lower, and affordable. You have the opportunity now to do whatever you need to your house, and as the prices continue to rise, you will be able to look back and be grateful that you made the fixes when you did.
