Why should you have your roof inspected before winter?
The seasons are changing, and it is getting colder outside by the day. As the leaves continue to fall off the trees and summer continues to drift away, it is time to prepare for the chillier weather. We recommend having your roof inspected at least once a year, but many people do not stay on top of this. If this sounds like you, and it has been a little bit since you have gotten your roof inspected at all recently, it might be time for you to do so.
So, why is it so important to have a roof inspection before the winter months arrive?
Take a moment now and think about what your house deals with in the winter. Think about the heavy snow building up on the roof and how water turns to ice on top of it. Now, think about just how much your roof puts up with during all of this. You can see how things might go wrong if you are not making sure your roof is in good condition. This can cause flooding, leaks, ice gates, and even the possibility of long term damage.
It is much easier to simply have a roofing inspection done, especially when many places offer it for free. We personally can do a free inspection for you to make sure everything is looking good and in proper shape to face the winter ahead. These inspections include checking to make sure there is no prior damage. We look for any sort of issues left behind from hail, storms, heavy wind, etc. If anything is found to not be in the best condition, we will guide you to the next steps on how to have it fixed up.
We highly recommend taking that little bit of extra time to ensure your roof is in the best possible shape that it can be. Properly prepare for the winter and get your home ready for it.
