Prepping Your House for the Spring

Spring is just around the corner! Can you believe it? The birds are chirping and the flowers are beginning to bloom as the cold weather starts to creep away. At the end of the month, some of you might be starting your spring cleaning routines. We always like to remind everyone to also take this time to take an extra look around your home and get it ready for the Spring as well.

During the Winter, houses are forced to go through quite a bit. From snow storms to hail, and everything in between, our roofs alone endure a lot of pressure and possible damage. While it was still cold out, it might have been hard to take a good look at your house and see if any damage had been done. Now, however, is a great time to start doing a little look around, and maybe even call us for a free inspection.

We always recommend yearly inspections, and if you have not had any reason to have your house checked in the Winter, now is the perfect time to do so.

It is important to make sure your gutters are unclogged and allow water to easily escape through them. In addition, take a look at your roof to see if it has any dents or if your shingles are bent at all.

It is also important to make sure your siding is in good shape and that none is falling off or breaking away. Your siding helps to insulate your home, so if you feel any drafts or heat coming in where it should not be, you might want to take a look at your siding.

Again, the best way to ensure that everything is in good shape is to simply have a professional come to do an inspection. Our inspections are always free and we are happy to help you out and answer any questions you might have!
